As a wife and working mom of 3, Chantel Powell, always found herself in the kitchen whipping up all sorts of concoctions for her family. After having her youngest son, Kaiden, she was diagnosed with a rare eczema condition that left her allergic to an ingredient found in almost every skin and hair care product. As a result, she became obsessed with learning about natural ingredients.

One day while shuttling her oldest son, Kameron, between basketball camp and football practice she inhaled something ungodly, “Son, you smell like a grown man!” At 6 years old, her sweet little Kam was now a smelly kid. Her car went from smelling like a freshly detailed automobile to an NFL locker room. She immediately set out to remedy this issue. During her hunt for deodorant, she quickly discovered there was nothing on the market delicate AND “fresh” enough for her son to be excited/confident about putting on every day. Due to the lack of chemical-free and kid-friendly deodorants, coupled with her experience and love for creating products, she went to her kitchen (aka The Lab) to make something specifically for Kam. Once he started wearing it he had an idea, "Mom, you should make this for everybody”! With his natural desire to always help others and the power of word-of-mouth, the Play Pits brand grew FAST. From his teammates and their mothers to family and complete strangers - our quest to save noses across the world began!
